 Farm Shop has been developed from old farm buildings at Stockton on The Apley Estate, owned and managed by the Hamilton family.

The sympathetic restoration was undertaken to acknowledge the array of stories held within its brick walls and oak beams to emphasise the buildings’ incredible features and estate heritage.

With an array of footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths, beauty spots and wonderful views, the estate is the epitome of rural English splendour. Rolling hills, big skies, grazing cattle, wild flowers, the sighting of bird of prey and the splendour of the River Severn add to the beauty.

The Hamilton family has maintained and restored the estate including various buildings, lakes, walkways and walls, along with the installation of a hydro electric plant and wood boiler. This forms part of an ongoing renewable energy programme that encourages self-sufficient, environmentally-efficient power generation utilising wood from the estate and the power of water to generate heating and hot water. As part of the diversification programme to restore old farm buildings, there are now offices and beautiful residential dwellings to let, as well as the luxury holiday cottages encouraging others to enjoy the beauty of Apley.
