Press Release – Eggciting Easter Funday at farm shop
By Lady [Harriet] Hamilton, 17 August 2016
A farm shop near Bridgnorth is holding an Easter Funday on Monday 28 March, 10-4pm.
Lady Hamilton, marketing manager began “This is ideal for families with young children seeking an exciting & fun filled Easter weekend. Last year we held a May Fayre with May Pole dancing which was very popular, but we wanted to hold an Easter weekend instead as it is so early this year.“
Amy Holloway, Pigg’s Playbarn manager continued “There will be an Easter egg hunt, biscuit decorating, Easter bonnet parade, fancy dress competition, Easter egg piñata, egg on your face, egg & spoon races, egg painting competition & much more. Many of our regular customers are already preparing their fancy dress outfits & bonnets.”
The farm shop has all you need for entertaining this Easter, from lamb joints, Apley Walled Garden vegetables, wines, cheeses, chocolates & even Easter hampers. For those who can’t get to the farm shop, there is a selection of Easter items on Apley’s online DeliShop for home delivery or Click & Collect.
Matt Jones, Head Chef in the Creamery Café has prepared a mouthwatering Easter weekend menu which naturally includes local spring lamb & oodles of chocolate!
Lord Hamilton, Apley Estate owner, added “We’re also preparing for the First Apley Bake Off on bank holiday Monday 2 May, when my wife Harriet has invited 6 great Shropshire chefs who will give demonstrations & then lead masterclasses. The cake & tart competition is open to all & has some fabulous prizes, plus there will be a children’s cookery corner to give them hands-on experience too.”
The Easter Funday is free, though there may be charges for some activities.
