“This will be a rare opportunity to cook on stage with five of the county’s best known chefs & then have a hands-on learning experience alongside them in masterclasses. On top of that, anyone can have fun baking at home & bring in entries for the baking competition on the day“ began Lord Hamilton, Apley Farm Shop owner.
Having opened in the coldest winter in decades, when temperatures dropped to -19°C, Apley Farm Shop in Shropshire considers how it’s developed in its first five years.
Lady Hamilton, Marketing Manager, explained “It’s 5 years since we opened Apley Farm Shop on March 31st, 2011. Being open 7 days a week means it’s non-stop hard work, but we’re delighted with the progress & the way it’s developed”.
A holiday club provider has linked up with a local farm shop to provide children with fun outdoor & sporty holiday clubs this summer.
They kick off with a taster day in the May half term week on Friday 3rd June (9-3pm), then the summer holiday dates are always on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 27th, 28th & 29th July (week 1); 10th, 11th & 12th August (week 2) & 24th, 25th & 26th August (week 3). Each week culminates with a presentation of awards & goodies to all the children.
These days are perfect for primary school children aged 4-12, boys & girls giving them a chance to try out a wide range of multi-sports including football, hockey, tennis, basketball, parachute games & dodgeball.
A specialist outdoor learning organisation has linked up with a local farm shop to provide children with fun outdoor experiences this summer.
Educating Kids Outdoors (EKO) offers fun, outdoor learning experiences for children at their schools or in woodland areas around Shropshire & Staffordshire, including Apley Farm Shop.
A farm shop near Bridgnorth is holding an Easter Funday on Monday 28 March, 10-4pm.
Lady Hamilton, marketing manager began “This is ideal for families with young children seeking an exciting & fun filled Easter weekend. Last year we held a May Fayre with May Pole dancing which was very popular, but we wanted to hold an Easter weekend instead as it is so early this year.“
